Premios Juventud 2022 was streamed live on Univision this past Thursday directly from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot.
In case you missed it, below you’ll find one of the best parts of the night – a new generation of tropical music artists, under the direction of Sergio George, performing their own songs as well as El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico’s legendary hits “Que Le Ponga Salsa,” “No Hay Cama Pa Tanta Gente,” and “La Fiesta de Pilito.” This tropical set included Dominican singer Manny Cruz, who presented his song “Santo Domingo;” Latin pop sensation Luis Figueroa, who delighted fans with his song “Vienes;” queen of urban salsa Yahaira Plasencia, who delivered her rendition of “El Cantante;” charismatic salsa singer Michael Stuart, who performed his latest song “Bailemos;” and salsa star Luis Vázquez, who interpreted his hit song “Tu Fan.” The tropical set was dedicated to El Gran Combo and present on stage to appreciate it were the band’s director Rafael Ithier, as well as singers Jerry Rivas, Anthony Garcia, and Joselito Hernandez.
