The Los Angeles Music Center has announced its summer season, including its popular The Music Center’s Dance DTLA free dance nights.

Starting on June 23, 2023, with hip-hop, the under the stars event will continue every Friday through August 18, from 7 pm to 11 pm, at the Jerry Moss Plaza (135 N. Grand, Los Angeles, CA 90012).

Here’s the schedule:

June 23 – Hip-hop

June 30 – Salsa

July 7 – West African dance 

July 14 – Reggaeton

July 21 – Country line dance 

July 28 – Samba

August 4 – Afro-Cuban rumba and Cuban rhythms

August 11 – Disco

August 18 – Bollywood

The Music Center’s Dance DTLA is just one of the many events organized by The Music Center for the upcoming months. “This summer, the arts come alive at The Music Center practically every day of the week. With a multitude of events, performances and experiences, The Music Center continues to be the place to join with friends and family to enjoy live music, see a new show or dance the night away,” said Rachel S. Moore, president and CEO of The Music Center.

An additional event that Salsa lovers might be interested in is Jazz It Up! With Dr. Bobby Rodriguez, which will happen June 25, at 1:30 pm, at Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey. Admission to this event is also free.
