Personally, I find magic in every music note that Juan Luis Guerra sings. And it’s no different this time as he works with another Dominican legend, Luis Segura, in a lovely bachata titled “Las de Juan Luis.”

The song is the first release from the fifth volume of Luis Segura’s collection – EL PAPA DE LA BACHATA, SU LEGADO, which is expected in 2023.

“Las de Juan Luis” became available this past Dec. 11, 2022, a date important to Segura because it was on this day, but in 2019, that UNESCO declared “bachata” as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. On top of that, there’s currently an official request to celebrate every Dec. 11 as the “National Day of Bachata.”
