‘Dos Culturas, Una Unión’ is Snoop Dogg and Banda MS’s latest proposition

This may not be Salsa, but it’s definitely something worth adding to your vida. Last night I made it to my first banda concert ever and it was BOMB! Banda MS de Sergio Lizarraga and the no-introduction-needed Snopp Dogg paired up for a couple of sold-out concerts at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, a grand production of light, music, and sound that is totally worth the ticket price.

.

Friday night started with a press conference in which Band MS’s singers Alan Ramirez and ‘Walo’ Silvas participated. (Snoop Dogg was also supposed to be part of the press conference but it didn’t happen.) “DJ Snoopadelic,” however, did open the night.

.

During the first hour of the concert, there was a collaboration between the artists. After that, Banda MS took over. From banda, to norteñas, to an acoustic set, they were welcomed by the crowd, some of which seemed to know every word of every song. As I write, this concert is being repeated to a sold-out arena.

.

Banda MS has a long list of scheduled upcoming performances, including some in Colombia, for which the artists expressed much excitement. If you are interested in future dates, check out this page.
