Cumbia – ‘Fútbol a la Gente,’ by Guaynaa and Los Ángeles Azules, named official ‘Summer of Champions’ anthem

“Fútbol a la Gente,” performed by Puerto Rican artist Guaynaa and featuring Mexican cumbia band Los Ángeles Azules, is a remix of the hit “Cumbia a la gente.” This new version has been selected as the official anthem for TUDN’s “Summer of Champions,” the upcoming 90-day coverage of over 120 soccer matches, including the Euro 2020, Copa América 2021, and CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The video of “Fútbol a la gente” below features Guaynaa, Los Ángeles Azules, and a number of well-known soccer sportscasters.

“We are excited to partner with our Uforia team and Universal Music to bring fanáticos the perfect track to this year’s ‘Summer of Champions,’” said Juan Carlos Rodríguez, president of Sports at Univision. “The popular song featuring music star Guaynaa and the legendary Los Ángeles Azules will set the tone during this action-packed season.”

The song will stream during the summer on Uforia radio stations across the country and will be the official “Summer of Champions” anthem for TUDN in Mexico.

“I have been a fútbol fan my whole life, and I was very excited when TUDN asked us to make a new version of my song for its soccer coverage this summer. I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy this upbeat song featuring my friends, Mexican legends, Los Ángeles Azules,” said Guaynaa.

“Few things bring people together as much as fútbol and music, and for us, it’s a great joy to bring the two together in this new campaign. We are very grateful to our friend Guaynaa and the TUDN team for the invitation. We hope everyone enjoys ´Fútbol a la gente’ this summer,” added Los Ángeles Azules.
