UPDATE – La Sonora Ponceña’s virtual concert available on Facebook

I don’t know how long this will be available, but for now you can see a recording of La Sonora Ponceña’s concert by following this link. Sazon Criollo performs first, and La Sonora Ponceña starts at minute 45.

Here’s another opportunity to listen to great music this weekend. Visit Ponce has announced a free broadcast of the fiestas patronales in Ponce, Puerto Rico, this Saturday, Dec. 19, at 3 pm PST on their Facebook page (7 pm Puerto Rico time).

Puerto Rico holds free fiestas patronales (town festivals) throughout the year in which the greatest musicians out of the island perform. It’s an amazing opportunity for boricuas to enjoy their own music, socialize, and, around this time, celebrate the holidays. This concert, lucky for us, will be broadcast on account of the pandemic.

The amazing La Sonora Ponceña, which you should know from songs like “Boranda” and “Fuego En El 23” will be performing Saturday. Also part of the event will be the Sazón Criollo band.

Don’t miss out on this event! We don’t get many opportunities to see La Sonora Ponceña here in Los Angeles, and when we do, it’s certainly not for free!
