Puerto Rican J Alvarez is known for his urban sound, yet here he surprises us by mixing a Salsa beat into his “La Esquina,” which he presents in collaboration with  Ñejo, Yomo, Persa La voz, and Eliot El Mago D Oz. 

The song has lyrics that speak about a young man who was able to leave the streets and even time in prison without losing his essence, finally understanding that in life family is more important than money. “La Esquina,” I warn you, has some language that we’re not used to hearing in Salsa songs, but not too terrifying.  🙂
