POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER – Miami Beach Virtual Salsa Festival

October 3, 2020 update – I was actually trying to log into this event when I realized that it has been postponed to November 7, 2020. Reportedly one of the musicians tested positive for COVID 19 and may have been so during rehearsals, so now the entire band must quarantine.

Melina Almodóvar, “La Muñeca de la Salsa,” invites you to the Miami Beach Virtual Salsa Festival, which will stream live from the North Beach Bandshell, in Miami Beach, this November 7, 2020, from 4:30 pm to 7 pm PST.

The event will feature Almodovar’s band, accompanied by professional dancers like the Salsa Ballet group from Cali, Colombia. Special guests will include Tito Puente Jr. and Cuban singer Nic N’taya. Emceeing the event will be Miami Beach commissioner Michael Gongora.

This is an annual event that is offered to the community free of charge. Due to the crisis, it will be offered virtually this time around. You can enjoy the event on Almodovar’s page on Facebook.

Why watch Netflix when you can “be” in Miami Beach listening to Salsa? And you’ll be safe with no mask or sanitizer needed!
