Wilmore Bimbo Franco presents ‘Classic American Tunes in Bachata’

If you like Bachata and know your classic American songs, you’ll love what Dominican musician and producer Wilmore “Bimbo” Franco has done, with the collaboration of various artists, in his album CLASSIC AMERICAN TUNES IN BACHATA.

Born in Santo Domingo, Bimbo was greatly influenced by his father, who was multilingual and passionate about American music. After moving to the United States in 1996, he became the guitarist for Aventura. After the group’s split, he continued as part of Romeo Santos’ band. He had, however, maintained the dream to turn American classics into Bachata songs, which he has now realized.

All By Myself, which was made famous by Celine Dion, is in this album a Bachata in the voice of Judy Santos. Kiko Rodriguez performs in I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing; Alex Matos sings in Todo Lo Que Hago Lo Hago Por Ti; and Jose Manuel El Sultan delivers a new version of the famous Hotel California. The album includes eleven songs.

CLASSIC AMERICAN TUNES IN BACHATA was released on March 27, 2020. It’s available in all digital platforms, and it has been added to the VidaSalsera.com playlist on Spotify, which you can access from the right margin of this page.
