Massive free LA Phil street festival to feature Poncho Sanchez, Ricardo Lemvo, Alfredo Rodriguez, and many more

There is a huge party coming our way on September 30, 2018 – LA Phil’s Celebrate LA: LA Phil 100 + CicLAvia.  The free, daylong street festival will connect the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, starting at 9 am and continuing through 4 pm. This eight-mile long street party will feature 1800 performers – musicians, dancers, and visual artists – as well as live shows, food, and other family activities. The long list of confirmed artists includes the Poncho Sanchez Latin Band, Ricardo Lemvo y Makina Loca, and Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez. Click here to see the full list of performers.

The day’s festivities will culminate with LA Phil 100 at the Bowl, a free community concert at 7 pm (needing separate ticketing, still free, but must participate in ticket lottery), featuring Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, as well as special guests Kali Uchis, Herbie Hancock, and YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles). Additional artists and more information on how to obtain tickets will be announced on August 20.

Plan ahead to walk, run, skate, scoot, bike, and just wander through this fabulous event. Any form of non-motorized transportation will be allowed, which includes bikes, wheelchairs, skateboards, and strollers. All ages are invited!
