Like Cumbia? VIVE LA CUMBIA 2018 is coming to Anaheim
If you consider Cumbia a cousin of Salsa, you know that Cumbia can also be a ton of fun to dance. VIVE LA CUMBIA 2018 intends to unite our Latin people in rhythm and dance in an event that will be held Saturday, May 26, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The following artists will be participating:
Grupo Cañaveral: Founded by Don Humberto Pabon, the group is now led by his son, Emir Pabon. This group has received multiple awards and recognitions.
Margarita La Diosa de la Cumbia: The Colombian star known as Margarita La Diosa de la Cumbia has over 35 years in the music scene, during which she has performed multiple genres, including cumbia, boleros, vallenato, salsa, and bachata. Originally from Medellin, Colombia, she is in love with Mexico and has recorded about 27 albums and received multiple awards.
Celso Piña y su Ronda Bogota: Born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Celso was the first to combine sonidero music with tropical rhythms, a mix that gave an unique sound to his music.
Jenny & The Mexicats: This is a multicultural band that delivers folk, flamenco, and cumbia with equal passion and energy.
Doors to the event will open at 6 pm for patrons 18 years old and over. Tickets range $45 to $90 and are available here.
