Buika, Diego El Cigala, Andy Garcia & the Cineson All Stars, and Havana Cuba All Stars to perform at The Luckman Complex


The Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State LA announced another season of groundbreaking headliners showcasing the best in music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. Executive Director Wendy Baker is presenting a season rich in culture and innovation by bringing acclaimed artists, musicians, and dancers from around the globe to the Luckman Complex.

Bridging the gap between cultures and genres, Latin Grammy winning artist Buika (Nov 17), noted by NPR as “the voice of freedom,” and one of its “50 Great Voices of All Time,” will bring her flamenco soul to the Luckman Theater for an evening performance that is sure to impress.

Diego el Cigala (Mar 2) the Grammy winning “Sinatra of Flamenco,” blends his Spanish Gitano heritage with styles ranging from bolero to tango, Cuban son, and Afro-Caribbean jazz. (Tickets $45 to $65 here)

Captivating audiences with authentic sounds and dynamic performances, Grammy winners Andy Garcia and The CineSon All Stars’ (Feb 2) vibrant style captures the allure of the Mambo rhythm and the heart of Cuba.

The Havana Cuba All-Stars (Apr 5) is a band comprised of the Island’s most prominent musicians and dancers. The ensemble was created to exemplify the great musical traditions of the Cuban people in a spirited spectacle of highlights.
